Permaculture project started
We started our own dream project – the bug garden, or - in German - Der Kaefergarten, or - in Czech - .Zahrada brouků. The project's name refers to the fact that for producing fruits and vegetables we need to rely on insects, of which we have less and less, due to the industrial agriculture. The project aims to investigate how difficult it is for a standard working person and his family to change your lifestyle to having a no-waste, no plastic household, and use your garden to provide you with sufficient organic food. Furthermore we will set up ways to track our carbon footprint, and try to reduce this as much as possible. We will you keep you updated here, and set up an own website for this project soon.
Greenful - A Permaculture Project
During the past decades it became more and more clear that the agricultural industry and the urbanisation of the earth have become a major threat to survival of mankind. Rather than using natural resources we are maximising their exploitation and by this compromising their availability for future generations.
In the 70's of the last century, Bill Mollison and David Holmgren developped the permaculture concept, which should ensure that we live in sustainable harmony with nature. The concept is relatively extreme, whilst we would like to keep as much of the comfort, modern life is making available.
